The first issue of MIDWEST GOTHIC, an irregularly-released collection of strange and terrifying stories set in the Midwest or about Midwesterners.
This collection contains the following stories:
"Mute" [cosmic horror] - A small-town Wisconsin radio station finds itself the host of strange occurrences during the broadcast of a new show.
"Aether" [cosmic romance] - Teenage love reignites after a chance meeting during a frigid Iowan deep freeze; something else arrives under darkness of night.
"Valhalla" [pulp noir/hardboiled] - A loose cannon in Black River Falls, WI investigates a mysterious death and discovers a terrible secret.
"Discreet" [pulp noir/hardboiled] - Our Wisconsin private eye hunts a serial killer of young gay men.
"Mojave" [cosmic horror/splatter] - A cult of Minnesotans led by an extravagantly rich man traverses the desert on a mission to find God; when they do, it isn't pretty.
